    Don't know much about this bottle? I believe it is ceramic, there is no lid or top on it. The print on the face isn't perfectly imprinted. Bottle is also slightly faded.

      hi most likely an ink bottle container vessel 19th century
      salt glaze with the pottery mark plus firm business etc
      rather nice piece
      & london being
      a place the streets were paved of gold reputedly

      Nice jug ...i have a few jack london books ..I like jack ...smiling he went after elbert hubbard ...but elbert put him down,.. case jack was always drunk ...lol... be safe.

      Hello daisydukes, Bourne potteries were established in 1809. The Joseph Bourne pottery period was from 1833 to 1860, Joseph Bourne & son was added around 1850 and Codnor Park Mark was used between 1833-1861. Therefore your Stoneware Bottle was made between 1850 and 1861. I can't find anything on the J.Arnold but back then the pottery would impress the mark of the shop in London that sold their goods so that is probably what that name is.

      Hello again, just an added comment, as you are probably aware of already people back then didn't get refuse picked up they just dug a big hole in the backyard and filled it up,so dig carefully, who knows what is in your yard ? or under your floorboards .LOL
