Opium Den Oil Paintings x 2

Visited New Orleans in the 80s and came across these matching oil paintings of an Opium Den hanging in a bar. Asked the bar owner if I could purchase them. He did not know where they came from or who painted them as they were hanging there when he purchased the bar. Any ideas or information would be appreciated. Thank you
