    Hey guys, just looking for some information. I can’t really make out the date on the label but looks like 1876 maybe? Any information would be greatly appreciated! There’s also an old newspaper inside from 1944.????

      I believe I have the exact same trunk. I don’t know the exact year because the inside stickers were removed before I acquired it some 25 years ago but it is was made by CA Taylor circa 1870’s, based on outside hardware identification (CA Taylor patented the latches) and the across body slats on the top as opposed to front to back (CA Taylor began using the front to back slat design on the top in the 1880’s).
