Hoosier Desk, I'm guessing from 1952. Maybe somebody can take a look at the picture of the bottom drawer panel and confirm that. It has 1852 printed on the panel. Hoosier Desk Co. wasn't around until 1915, so 1 Aug 1952 maybe? The WAL above it stands for walnut. That much I do know.
Most people don't have much use for these big, heavy, non computer friendly desks these days. But I love it and think it is worth some work. You can see in the first picture that the center drawer is removed. The dove tail joints were loose and the drawer was pretty much falling apart. The only real damage to the desk. I am in the process of turning it into a pull-out for my keyboard. Purists may be appalled, but at least this example is getting some love. This desk had been on Offer Up for a month and I only payed $75. The owner was very happy to get rid of it. If I hadn't bought it, he was going to take it to the dump.

Update: I decided to put the drawer back to original. Added a removeable piece that brings my keyboard level with the top of the drawer. Also added a bottom to the original typewriter area. That allows the housing of a computer. Drilled a hole in the bottom to accommodate the wires. Tried to keep it as original looking as possible.
