large DE PAUL UNIVERSITY glass ashtray

This roughly triangular ashtray is made of heavy smoky-green glass, measuring 2" high and +/- 8" across depending on where one measures it. Its center features a cast metal post with badge bearing the DePaul University (Chicago, USA) crest in bronze tone relief. An estate find, its former owner obviously had used it well but it cleaned up pretty good except for a few spots on the crest/post which I'm not going to attempt to clean further -- getting all the old cigarette tar out of its bottom was enough work already. ;-)
