Here's something you don't see everyday if ever! An Omega watch launch plate by famous designer Marc Blackwell.

Now ..truth be told..I have no idea other than the obvious. More research is needed. I'm going to contact the company and see what information I can find out.

**UPDATE** I heard back from Marc and this is his response:
"Hi Dave,

At the time I was designing and producing all of the events for Omega. This was likely the baseplate for the dinner which was at a restaurant we took over, for the event, in Grand Central Station.

I worked with Raquel Shuttler who was director of Marketing at the time, at Omega.

We had incredible events in those days...stunning and fun! Lots of celebrities- I think Earnie Ells was part of this!
