Very heavy Buddha pendant, old or new?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this old Buddha pendant I recently bought? I've tried but just can't find anything similar online, either old or new. I think it may be Tibetan and was hoping it was old. It does have a worn patina on the brass and has bits of old polish and dirt etc in the crevices. The stone is really heavy and I think it's Carnelian and the Buddha detail is repeated on both sides. Of course it may just be a fairly modern tourist piece, but I'd love to know. It's over 5cm or 2" long and sooo heavy. I wouldn't want to wear it around my neck :)
