Probably not the best time to post this with all that's going on and I was curious on if anybody knows the age of this hat and what it was for it almost looks like a pilot hat any help would greatly be appreciated I can't read the Russian in side the hat

FWIW, part of the stenciled information looks like "????????????," which translates to SVERDLOVSKOE.
Heh. I guess I should have anticipated that the CW software wouldn't play nice with Cyrillic.
What does that word mean
It's a place name, and unfortunately, there is more than one Sverdlovskoe in Russia.
