    Any idea what this is I found it when cleaning out a drawer. It is about 5 inches long with a metal end. The metal tip has a fine grove on the edge.

      It is a scalpel handle, without a blade attached, that would be used by a surgeon, etc.

      Various shapes and sizes of scalpel blades have a corresponding 'slot' that slides onto the grooves then 'clips' in place.
