Pre-Columbian Obsidian (?) Head Statue

This sculpture is 3"H x 2.5"W x 2.5"D and is made of a glassy black stone (possibly obsidian(?), but if light is shone on it at the right angle it has an almost cat's eye translucent effect with molasses color parallel lines through it.) It appears to portray a Mesoamerican Pre-Columbian figure. Unfortunately, it has no identifying marks. It has few, if any imperfections which tells me it was probably manufactured recently. It is beautiful though, and I would like to know more about it if anyone has any information.
