Good morning! I'm new here and figured this would be my best shot at identifying this odd piece. It came in a box of stuff from an antique store that shut down. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Welcome to CW S&T, Cbars23. What an interesting thing it is (no matter what it actually is) that I can't help you ID either, but the chances are good that someone else here has actually seen something like it somewhere before, thus might be able to provide the clue for all of us to learn something new. My only guess might be some variety of 'horse tack' hardware, but you've prolly already researched that and proved me wrong already... <sigh> :-) :-) :-)

Thank you, Anything Obscure! It's an interesting find, for sure. I'm assuming it's got a purpose for animals of some sort. It's with an old timer that travels around quite a bit now.

Dav2no1, the links are around 4" long and about 1.5" wide. The serrations are angled toward the inside to prevent slippage, I assume. It's made of bronze with steel hinge pins.
