    These are candle holders from when I was 3 years old. The tree looked l awesome. At least 12 or more candles.we’re on the tree.There was no electricity in our neighborhood. We used Camden’s every year til electricity was routed. To us. Our house never caught fire and no neighborhood houses burned down. Kerosene stove and kerosene lamps.were used.

      Yeah, I kinda get nightmares thinking about these getting used in the average, modern USA household, but before household electricity became common, these or something very similar probably were used, and most people survived.

      I imagine people who put candles on Christmas trees also developed a habit of being careful with them. A Christmas tree bedecked by lit candles must have been a fine sight! Thank you for sharing these beautiful old holders!
