My mother got this beauty at a yard sale she doesn't use it. it just for show. Any ideas on what it was used to make? A year??

I have one that is similar I bought at an estate sale, and the elderly woman who sold it to me, told me that her mother used it to make bread.
Not sure of the maker of yours... Monmouth Pottery? Western Stoneware? Same company, but both used a maple leaf logo. Not seen this mark before..
I think it is Monmouth Western Stoneware Pottery. Their logo is pretty much exactly that design !~
