Coveys Little America invented the Mobile Gasoline logo in the 1940s for their truck stops. Obviously Mobiloil felt the Mobile name was an infringement on their trademarked name so the Covey group changed the Mobile name on their signs and globes to Covey Gasoline. Their iconic Streamliner logos are very desirable and every collector hopes to get one eventually. We keep hoping to add the big 6’ Mobile sign to our collection one day. For now, we’re thrilled to have the beautiful gas globes they designed and displayed on their pumps.
