Imperial glass satin green slag duck on nest. Imperial #146 Duck-on-Nest was original to Imperial Glass. It was introduced in 1940's and made through 1982/83. The first Duck was made in Milk Glass. Unlike the Swan or Bunny, it was not made in Crystal. The Duck was NOT shown in the 1940's Crystal Ad. Imperial Duck sits on a cross-hatch style base. Bottom of the base has a "woven wicker styled" or "quilted" appearance. In 1963, eight unique Easter colors were made. These bright colors were painted over top of White Milk Glass and are hard to find today. Ducks may have foil labels that read Hand Crafted Imperial USA
