Here are two vintage ashtrays for your viewing pleasure.

The Russian Tea Room ashtray is made of glass with an ACL decorating it. It measures 9.8Cm in diameter.

In 1926 The Russian Tea Room opened its doors and is still in operation today.

The Viceroy ashtray is made of ceramic and measures 12.7Cm in diameter. Rather than a maker's mark, its reverse features the Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company logo in what appears to be gold leaf.

Ah, for the golden age of advertising!

Jscott, These are really cool to collect. And many times they can be obtained inexpensively. In contemporary times, they can still be used as ashtrays, but also coin, stamp, candy holders, and many other uses. Plus, the art is timeless, and very creative.
