Lindsay car, or locomotive?

Certainly an unusual model was this one, made by Lindsay. They called it the “Ghost”, and it had a very unique powered truck, unique even for a company known for making motorized trucks.
I don’t know if the intent was just to watch this self propelled entity wander the rails, as it’s name “Ghost” at least slightly implies, or to add power to a string of cars that were maybe just a mite too much for a small locomotive. Either way, an unusual model.
