Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely sculpture, this was totally black and is very heavy, it was the first bronze I had ever found, and thought it would be a good idea to clean it as I didn’t know that wasn’t a good idea, I ruined it and spent hours trying to clean it if I remember right.but it did reveal a name which I’m hoping that someone might recognise , I think it is antique
Patina can be reapplied, but the value of this piece isn't a lot. The cost would be greater than the piece is worth

What would happen if I put lemon juice on it though ?
Steptoe1, Not sure exactly what jscott0363 meant about using lemon juice; however, I don't think it would be a good idea in this case, because I suspect that what you have in this case is cold cast bronze:
