    100-year-old reproduction (1915) of Napoleon Bonaparte on canvas using the Mazart process.
    This process was used to make quality reproductions. According to information on the internet "Mazart artworks were first reproduced and sold to the public in the mid 19th century all the way through the 20th century, The artwork was highly desired due to the resemblance to the real painting."

      They did this kind of work well into the 20th Century going by a different name and also by the name Oilette where there appeared to be brush marks as iin this wonderful example, giving it an appearance as if painted in oil !~
