Rare ca 1914 polychrome terracotta corbel depicting a fox head, there were two of these, I owned one found in a Midtown antique shop around 1980 that I later sold and bought this one years later, so I know there were two of these on a building facade in NY City that was probably demolished around mid 1975, and likely a commercial building where the projection of these would have supported a pediment or column of bricks etc.
This is displayed on it's back on the floor.
The fox is an unusual subject, the most common theme used for these was lion heads, followed by bearded male faces and female faces usually mythical themed- Neptune, Atlas, Minerva, Athena etc

Your animal building statues are really beautiful
