Here is a pair of blue denim "Guy 1" jeans that were owned and worn by John Lennon. The jeans come from the collection of noted concert promotor and booking agent Irwin Pate. He put together a significant collection of celebrity items including things from John Lennon. Pate and Lennon first met in Greenwich Village in the 1970's and Pate told John about his collection. Lennon said he'd see what he could do. John sent Pate these pants...shirts...hats...money clips and even one of his typewriters. Pate passed away in 2018 at the age of 87. His wife Clarine sold most of his memorabilia to private collectors and thru auction houses. His jeans have a 31 inch waist...and a 34 in leg. The cuffs have been turned up on the pants. These jeans are in the same condition as they were when Lennon gifted them to Pate in 1979. I also have a pair of corduroy pants from Lennon from 1967. The measurements are basically the same. When he passed away in 1980...he was 5'10...135 pounds. The photo shows Lennon in 1979.
