1965 Ace Fastener Corp. Model 502 Aceliner Stapler

This is a 1965 Ace Fastener Corp. Lime Green Model 502 stapler - the Aceliner. It was first made available around 1941, and was sold into the 2000’s. Many are stamped with a date code: mine has 465 which indicates it was manufactured in April (or during the 4th quarter) of 1965. This is the second of four version of the Aceliner. The second version was sold roughly between 1962 and 1971, and can be identified by its rounded smooth top, the name “ACE” etched into front, and it has four (4) patents listed on bottom of base along with “Others Pend.

Growing up, our family had one of these (with a brown handle) in or near the kitchen’s obligatory junk drawer. What a great, stout stapler.
