Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely vase and I don’t think these was going for much even though it’s so well made, not sure how old it is , watched antique roadshow and was shocked how much stuff goes for these days if you can find the right item. Unfortunately I don’t think this falls in that bracket.
Looks 1980s to me. I don’t really think there’s much of a collector following, despite the maker. Even though some 1980s objects are collectible because they epitomise the style of the era (eg. Memphis Design, Post - Modernism) something like this doesn’t, unfortunately.
As for Antiques Roadshow & the prices of things, in my opinion prices are largely determined by what people are willing to pay in reality. TV shows present unrealistically inflated prices that make your average punter think anything & everything is a guaranteed money - spinner. Just my two cents worth, anyway.
