Driftwood carving?

I`ve had this hanging in my carport for a few years now, forget where I got it, it seems to be a driftwood carving. Not sure if it`s supposed to be a native American or what. Does anyone have any info on carvings like this? Kind of weird with the face at top and a small hand at the bottom.?. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks for lookin! Rob
