As usual, I was just sitting there half-watching an old movie, and "BAM!" There's one of those chairs in 1967's "The Fastest Guitar Alive," starring Roy Orbison.
Although Orbison was in fine voice, this is not a good movie.
Apparently, Orbison had a five movie deal with MGM, but this movie bombed so bad that the other four were never made.
Anyway, this one gets added to the list of film footage in which a piece of the MGM Giltwood "Gigi" furniture set is seen:
"The Face Behind the Mask" (1938)
"Marie Antoinette" (1938)
"Ninotchka" (1939)
"New Moon" (1940)
"Reunion in France" (1942)
"We Were Dancing (1942)
"Meet Me in St. Louis" (1944)
"Mrs. Parkington" (1944)
"Madame Bovary" (1949)
"An American in Paris" (1951)
"Kind Lady" (1951)
"Scaramouche (1952)
"MGM Parade" S1.E5 (1955)
"The Swan" (1956)
"Gigi" (1958)
"Two Weeks in Another Town" (1962)
"Made in Paris" (1966)
"The Fastest Guitar Alive" (1967)
"Fitzwilly" (1967)
And who knows, there could still be more.
