    has clear glass around the top of the bowl and the rest is white milk glass, can anyone tell me if it is real milk glass or fake, and how do you tell if it is real, I have many many more pieces

      hard to tell for sure as the photo is very dark; but it looks like you may have a Fenton 'Spanish Lace' silver (clear) crested compote. I think this one usually came with a lid.

      tall cakes is correct. made my fenton, pattern is spanish lace on silver-crested milkglass.
