    This was my first really nice phone... got it at a local art deco show. Brushed gold bands, butler handle, extensicord, was in pretty much mint condition. I do like talking on it. Still looking for the red version in similar condition!

      potrero, There was a nice red type 40 at Gary Goff's Southern California Telephone show on June 1st.
