Painted in 1943 by Joseph Let0, this painting depicts a Patrol and Torpedo (PT) at sea.

The painting is housed in a homemade plywood frame.

Most folks are familiar with the PT boats and PT- 109 (John Kennedy).

These small, fast and agile craft were used to attack larger ships in the Pacific theater, where the Japanese called them "Devil Boats".

Reproduction of this image in any form is not authorized.

Scott, Just FYI, they were Patrol/Torpedo Boats and they made a growl when they were at speed due to the diesel engines in the plywood boat......Yes they were made of Plywood !
