I'm 26 and have been collecting bottles for about five years. I recently purchased a button and it didn't have any hangar. I used 550 cord and strung it in all the holes to equally distribute the stress. I didn't want to bend the mounting holes. I think it worked out pretty good. Thank you for looking.

Nice bottle collection. And nice string job on the button. That ain't going anywhere... unless an earthquake hits... or kids rough-housing! :)

Thanks Daddy_Nobucks, it's resting on two, one hundred pound drywall hooks. No kids, and not many earthquakes have hit eastern NC.

      thank you

You know what they say about kids and earthquakes? They have a tendency to show up when you least expect them! ;)

      Hey Kevin,
Nice display and nice button. I'm not worried about the cord, or earthquakes, or kids, but I would worry about those glass shelves, bulging with bottles.... But you seem to be a pretty competent engineer, so I won't say anything... (anything else that is!) What all Coke bottles do you have? Any rare cities or types??

thank you for the comment oldcokes,

The cabinet is old and the shelves are made of wood, real wood, not the cheap veneer/particle board, that furniture is made of today.

I believe in quality over quantity. I don't have many rare cokes. I have a peoria SS, and a hobbleskirt from Charlotte that has an applied top. A few amber SS arrow bottles. I don't know if you would call those rare. I'd like to find more applied top hobbleskirts. My best bottle is probably the Escambia Pepsi hutch. I'd also like to find more coke copy-cats like taka kola, christo cola, koca nola, celery cola etc..

      Thank you again,
      Kevin

      Thanks,
Glad the shelves are solid! I can send you a list of known applied top hobbles, I guess. I am oldcokes. Do you have my email? It is in my booklet - "The Coke Bottle Checklist"
Can I give it to you here? I don't know....

If you're Bill Porter you sent me a book while I was deployed last year. I'd love to have a list of applied hobbleskirts. Is it in the book?

      my email is februarystarskc@yahoo.com
