Another coin I came into recently. It could be a spanish doubloon, but I dont know anything about ancient coins. Is it worth anymore than the value of the silver?
Any information would be great, thank you
Update, it was pointed out that I put of pictures of the same side of the coin, I just posted the other side.

This address has the beginnings of some material for you. Spanish Reales and Mint marks on the side. I'm sure others will be able to give an opinion about authenticity.

These crude early Spanish coins are hard to attribute due to partial designs. What metal is it made of and what is the weight. That would tell you it's denomination. Then one could check out the mint and assayers initials in some of the specialized Spanish books to pin it down. My guess would be that you may have a 4 reales coin from Spain proper struck in the 1600's. Not an ancient coin but worth much more than the melt value.

Militarist, the coin is made out of silver and weighs 12.8 grams
With that coat of arms on both sides I am thinking Spanish Netherlands and possibly as early as the 1500's. I will try and find a copy of the Delmonte book which may hold the answer.
To start with you must be showing us two different coins here and not both sides of the same coin. From what you are showing I am fairly sure that you have two different 4 reales coins that were minted in Bolivia between 1574-1651. These would catalog some where between $100. to 350. dollars.

Now that you see the otherside, would be able to help me come up with a closer estimate for price?
That is what I thought. It still falls into the estimate range I gave you. Some one who knows these types of coins would have to see them in person to give a better valuation.

This coin is from the Atocha also known as Nuestra Señora de Atocha ("Our Lady of Atocha") was the most famous of a fleet of Spanish ships that sank in 1622 off the Florida Keys.
i ran into a friend i hadn't seen in a long time and he had just returned from Hidalgo, Mexico and wanted to show me something. He pulled out of his truck three bags of coins and medals - all gold and silver. these were the real deal - all reales and doubloons. he was working on a construction project on his property in Mexico and they dug up a rotten chest and these poured out. i couldn't believe it, but they were right in front of my eyes! hundreds of them! i'll try to get some photos to post.
I found a coin when I was a teenager at the BVI about 8-10 years ago and I kept it throughout the years. It looks very similar to yours in mint markings and I’ve had tried to do research and find others like it. So far yours is the most similar because of the “P B” shown on the front left side of the coin. Unfortunately mine is not in as great of shape as it has been struck uneven when minted and has a crack on the thinner side.
All I can find is it is minted around the 1600’s, like other comments say on here so far. I’d love to find out more about this coin mint and possibly more history behind the island I found it at. Either way these are very beautiful pieces.
