    Another one from George I have no info and I would love to know what time period this is from and is the setting called? and is there a specific name for this type of chain? Are the stones foil backed? This necklace also appears to be copper underneath the silver color. however, It is only visible in the photo

      Great Necklace! Did you put the necklace under Cabachon Costume Jewelry Category Or did CW?(sometimes they switch a catergorgy then what someone might have originally put) Because I think the stones are faceted and cabachons are smoothed rounded on the top part of stone. Looks Victorian to me.

      Thank you for responding, It seems that not very many people actually do. I love unlocking the mystery. I refuse to pass anything on until I do, my husband calls me a hoarder of antique & vintage Costume Jewelry :) I can't help that I'm falling in love with the story.

      The chain is called "bookchain" and this type was popular during late Victorian times but also enjoyed a revival in the 1940s.
