    I found this old local receipt for a few brooms from Steam Power Broom Works in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Dated April 13th 1894 and sold to Frank Hockenburg, the total price for the 8 brooms was $12.20.
    I found this in a roll top desk I won at auction last year

      He got ripped off! In 1894, I never paid more than $7.95 for a broom!
