    the old photo i put on before i took it to pieces and found there was tow photos in it,one on metal and one on glass,don't know witch is the oldest.

      In the US ambrotypes were rarely made after the Civil War. In the UK ambrotypes were still regularly made into the last quarter of the 19th century.

      Your tintype doesn't look like it was originally made to be cased. The size doesn't appear to be a standard size and the corner cuts are usually indicative of a "loose" tintype that was stored in an album.

      I would date your tintype to the 1880s.
