Hi Group, this is another piece that i can find NO information about. I believe its stoneware very heavy and dense with a solid brass clockwork and Porcelain Hand Painted Dial and Roman Numerals! it can be hung or Self Standing with the easel i have had this for many years and never cleaned it being im not sure how to clean it any info is Greatly Appreciated. Thanks Again!! it stands about 12"Square..
there are no markings that i can find. its heavy and very 3D i just loved the way it was made and not sure if i paid too much but if so i love it and it has a place in my home for a long time.I have taken it apart to see if anything was beneath the bezel of the clock on the stoneware but nothing and i have opened the clock works up and see no markings. it is a pendulum movement and all brass with a beautiful hand painted dial even the numerals are hand painted. i have owned this about 20yrs now along with the vase that i also posted but could never find out anything or anything even close other than some Majolica Clocks but nothing like this. I appreciate any help, thanks again! Oh Yea no key

Wish I could help you but it's more of a functional piece of artwork/pottery and I think you have it primarily listed as such so perhaps someone over there can help. I don't think this is a pendulum clock. My guess is that it uses some type of balance wheel like one finds in most mechanical alarm clocks. Since your clock has only the time train, it is technically called a "Time Piece" and not a clock.

You can determine the appropriate key size by measuring the winding arbor width.

      Here is a chart:

All sizes in mm starting from small to large
      Key size........ American............ Swiss
      5/0.................. 1.6...................1.25
      4/0.................. 1.8 ..................1.5
      3/0.................. 2.0.................. 1.75
      2/0.................. 2.2.................. 2.0
      0...................., 2.4 ..................2.25
      1..................... 2.6.................. 2.5
      2..................... 2.8.................. 2.75
      3..................... 3.0.................. 3.0
      4..................... 3.2...................3.25
      5..................... 3.4.................. 3.5
      6..................... 3.6.................. 3.75
      7..................... 3.8.................. 4.0
      8..................... 4.0.................. 4.25
      9..................... 4.2.................. 4.5
      10................... 4.4 ..................4.75
      11................... 4.6.................. 5.0
      12................... 4.8.................. 5.25
      13................... 5.0.................. 5.5
      14................... 5.2.................. 5.75
      15................... 5.4.................. 6.0
      16................... 5.6.................. 6.25
      17................... 5.8.................. 6.5
      18................... 6.0.................. 6.75
      19................... 6.2.................. 7.0
      20................... 6.4.................. 7.25
      21................... 6.6.................. 7.5
      22................... 6.8.................. 7.75
      23................... 7.0.................. 8.0

Hi Bruce99, thanks for the heads up about the link i will check it out, but im a little confused is the brass bar coming out of the bottom of the brass enclosure not a pendulem? Im not sure if it ever had a weight attached but this is exactly how i found the clock 20+yrs ago.. im away on business now and will be back in a couple weeks so should i open the back and take pictures of the clockwork mechanism? again thanks for the response and i will try to post it in the link you provided

Hi Decodino58. I only have two dimensions to go on, so your guess is better than mine but every pendulum regulated clock I've seen has a weight and a level set up with the pendulum hanging dead-center to the "beat" with no obstructions or tilts in any plane.

If old clocks tick a little, then stops, most of the time they need to be cleaned or oiled. They dry out from standing for years.
