This is unusual in that there are hidden slots cut out throughout the pot for drainage. it seems to be very high-fired - possibly porcelain. does anyone recognize it or can you guess a date? it's got some age to it. it's 12" tall and 14" across.
I think you are spot on with you Mid Century estimate. These types are getting really popular. There are some with flowers too. Blue, red and this orange yellow are the colors. Seem to be becoming all the rage right now. Love it.

i just realized that this planter is majolica! and it's older than mid-century - more likely early 20th c or late 19th c. cool!
