This piece was found in the back of the cupboard when cleaning out my inlaw's house. Their best pieces were in a china cabinet and they are all well marked and known. This teapot is a mystery as I know little about Chinese and/or Japanese porcelain and there are no marks. It's definitely hand painted, with some raised bumps and lines in the paint. I'd appreciate any information on this teapot as I have grown to love it, and am very curious to learn what it might be. Thanks.

Japanese hand painted pottery, the figures are Japanese, an early 20th export, much oxidised and discolored ceramic. Unusual black base, not sure if this was original. Thanks for posting.
