    Hi All,

my wife and I found this lovely pocket/pendant watch at a flea market. She fell in love with it, so we bought it. The front reports the Longines marking, dating it 1862, as well as their locations at the time "New York, Geneva, Montreal." Since you can't really tell from the picture, the diameter of the clock itself is about the size of a quarter, or just a little bigger, and the glass is semi-spherical, perhaps giving it a bit of a "lens" effect to make the markings appear larger and easier to read. Can anybody help identify it (or even just tell if it is a Longines or not would already be helpful) -- in fact even just knowing what exactly I should call it! ..Something like a "pendant watch" or something like that?!

    Cheers,

    Martin

Thank you timeless5, indeed we really love it and are very proud of our little find at a Japanese flea market in Kyoto! Hopefully we will also find out whether it is a longines and whether it has a (model) name. Until then it will just be our lovely anonymous cherub watch!

You could always try contacting someone at Longines since they are still in business. If you're lucky enough to find the right person they might take the time to help. See: http://www.longines.com/brand/museums/the-longines-museum for contact information and good luck.

Hi MCube78, have you got answer from Longines? I am glad that the watch I have is not the only one in the world!

      Hi Eric,
so I did contact them, but they couldn't help -- mostly because when we opened it it turns out the mechanism might not be the very original one, so it didn't have a legit longines number.

      Could you find any info?

I will let you know if i find any info. My clock looks older than yours that's the only thing i can tell now.
