My mother purchased this at a flea market that I believe was in Bellows Falls VT. approximately 32 years ago. If not mistaken, she paid $50 for it.
I really don't know much else about it. The lock says Yale & Towne. The slat hold down clamps on the front have Pat. Mar 1880. The front clamps have a number 2 on them.
