Early 19th Century Filigreed Gilt Silver Butterfly

This is a beautifully detailed 800 silver butterfly, probably European in origin, with a gold wash. The gold wash has worn off along the edges, but otherwise the butterfly is in excellent condition. There is a rolling clasp closure which makes me think it is from 1920-30. It is large at 2 inches x 1.5 inches.
