Vintage Matson "Winter Landscape" / Oil on Masonite Panel 24"x 24" / Circa 1960's-70's

I've seen a few of these Matson paintings around. His signature element seems to be these bare black trees. There are a few of his paintings on Ebay and they are on canvas. This one is on a 24"x 24" panel of Masonite in a simple white box frame.. I've never seen a Winter scene. They are mostly Fall type or orange and black whimsical 70's kitsch Owls sitting on the same black trees. This one is actually kind of nice. Not much about him, not even a first name. -Mike-
