Rudolf Schardt took over his fathers factory in Rheinbach near Bonn in 1948 , renamed it into Ruscha, producing highly successful and innovative shapes and glazes like the highly searched after "Filigran" decor by Adele Bolz or the Vulcano glaze. Many famous Designers worked for Ruscha like Kurt Tschörner, Hans Welling, Adele Bolz, Heinz Siery and Cilli Wörsdörfer.
