    another goofy thrift shop find, nice single strike on the hour very shiny brass movement keeps decent time on the 14 day movement ,..very oold style but its a chinese reproduction,..snagged for not many bucks, 7 for a replacement key and off it runs know theres a currently made german version of it going for 250 to 300 so i feel REALY good bout this one!! gotta love thrift shop therapy!
    ((the keys surrounding it are the ones for the others ive put up here,..doesnt actualy need 5 keys

      I wouldn't call it a goofy find at all! I'd be over the moon to own a clock like that as I think all the best parts of mechanical objects (especially clocks) is the stuff that's hidden behind the case.

      Keep all those gears out in the open and on display I say! Although that can become a horror show with dust and all. I have a couple of Anniversary clocks - one enclosed in a glass bell jar and the other in a square case with glass panels - which is the next best thing to an open movement I guess.
