In an antique shop yesterday, I was attracted to the beautiful cover of this songbook for "Smiles," which was copyrighted in 1917 and transferred to Jerome H. Remick & Co. in 1918. The back cover shows an ad for food conservation during WWI, the cover of a songbook for "Till We Meet Again," and a sampling of the sheet music for said song.
