KJL (kenneth jay lane) did a ton of these pieces~ his stuff is usually marked though, if it doesn't have a KJL it's most likely an inspired piece.
You can look at the average selling price of this brand on ebay~ it's $16.79. Many examples of this brand are on ebay, it might help your research. I'd say it was a jacket & had a matching dress or p...
From the bright colors & cut I'd say it's a 60's/70's inspired piece~ does it have a fabric content tag? That will tell you a lot.
