My friend found a dozen of these decoys in her grandfathers garage. I believe the initials in the bottom are her grandfathers. Anyone have any thoughts on who the designer is, or if they are worth anything?

    Thanks!

They are pretty crude and probably carved at home or by someone local. The one shown is suppose to be a drake mallard. The metal on the bottom is so you could hook them all together to keep them in a group and gather them up quickly when the day ended. This sample doesn't have the carvings of most (no wings, no tail feathers etc.) Everything has a value to someone so if you found them it is good. I wouldn't quit my job expecting big bucks for them.
