      Patina tells time too...but dirt is not patina (in my opinion, some will argue that it is) so if it were my clock and I wanted to display it I would just clean (not polish) it well with something very mild, non-abrasive and with no ammonia. I would test on an inconspicuous area first. After cleaning, I would apply a good auto wax to it (case only). Nice clock. Thanks for sharing.
