So this looks like maybe 60s or 70s to me, mainly because of the fabric on the box, which looks like printed heavy cotton or light denim. It's a glass Chinese snuff bottle, I think the lid is glass, too, it feels smooth and has little black speckles like bits of hair inside the brown. The handle is bone. The glass is painted inside, bamboo against a powdery white background. Spoon is missing, alas. If anyone has information they can add, greatly appreciated.

I think it's actually fairly contemporary Katherine.
The Chinese are still making these and the boxes and styles are relatively unchanged over the last 30 years as far as I can tell.
They still amaze me - beautiful and clever!

My friend brought me after she visited her penrent in China last year.
It came with the similar box!
But I love it,it's very cute and unique thing to have!!!
Thank you for the comment, Nicspawee, I don't think it's very old, but also don't think it's as new as from last year, lol. The sticker on the side seems to have a little age on it, the fabric on the box is consistent with 60s or 70s, also. I could be wrong, of course. :) Please post your snuff bottle so we can all see it!!
Or may be they always make them in this way,I am not sure!
I was in China in 2011-2012 I could still see some products that I saw when I was kid. :)
I will try to find mine and post the photo (but I don't think I still have the box)
