Hi, the mount, tube and hinge system with C catch is marked 15ct for 15 carats gold.
See this guide, simple but informative:
      http://www.ebay.com/gds/About-15C-15ct-15K-625-Gold-Jewellery-Jewelry-Hallmark-/10000000008760453/g.html

It is Victorian, English, and the "stone" appear to be an antique real amber piece.

      Beautiful piece !
For price, we are not allowed to give valuations, but you can check the sold item section on Ebay for Victorian 15ct brooch

Hi, it could be 15CT my vision is not the best and I asked someone else to they said the same as me. However I have had a look again and I think it is 15CT. Just wondering if it is worth anything and what era it is from?

The stone itself has two little sections that have a little bit missing otherwise fine the stone is not smooth like a pearl or polished gems its seems like a lot has not been done to it.
