    I am stripping the old dark Shellac to the beautiful Oak. All I really know about this antique piece of furniture is the mirror is a British Silvered glass PB

      It looks much better with the natural Oak color and refinished with Shellac blonde

      I personally would not have touch it either.....keep the character and age. But that is Just me..................Nice piece !!

      melaniej, photos are deceiving. It was full of water stains and beyond Shellac repairs. I only did what was required by the client, but I am very happy with the end results. A beautiful piece
