Got this standing ashtray awhile back. It's missing the original top handle. I replaced it with a hanging light topper. Its also missing 3 hanging crystals. I would guess it's from the 70s? The base looks like L and L lamp bases look. But no signature. . I really have no idea. .i just liked it. At Christmas it looks good with lights around it!

Love it -- Probably made by the same maker that made my Brass Scales of justice here:

There were more than a few companies making these in the 1970's, there were a lot of lamps, ashtrays, statue lamps and tables from metal to plaster. From the later mid 60's to about 1980, there was an incredible import business from California to other places in the states and also especially Italy which came out with massive input. Many a business were set up at around that time span just to sell such items. A lot of sellers use the creepy name of Hollywood Regency which became the norm as nobody knew where they came from at the time. A lot of goodwill or Value Village in Canada sell the parts for prisms, and are easy to find if you have any missing. Most of the lamps for instance are unmarked but some have initials and a date. The dates range usually from early 70's to early 80's. The ceiling lamps usually rare to see dates or initials. From the late 80's and into the 90's there were items like yours and all the other input selling in garage sales, so I found many like yours and others in those sales. Yours is better quality but a lot were made of more poor materials.
